Unlike many of our competitors who see a fast buck to be made in recruiting for a booming construction market, here at Hill McGlynn we are proud of our pedigree which stretches back almost thirty years.

During this time we have worked closely with construction organisations throughout the world during the good and the bad times, locating and securing staff for specific projects, company restructures or expansion plans.

Many of the candidates placed are now in senior positions and come back to Hill McGlynn as clients time and time again, knowing first hand that they can trust us, not just with their own careers but with the development of their businesses as well.

Right from the start, repeat business has always been vital to our success, these are the highlights so far

• 1976 - Hill McGlynn is formed by Stephen Hill in Southampton, UK.
• 1989 - Hill McGlynn goes national in the UK and opens an office in Sheffield.
• 1990 - Hill McGlynn enters the Search & Selection business, focusing purely on executive appointments within the Construction Industry.
• 1993 - The International division opens its doors, supplying staff to projects around the world.
• 1994 - Further offices open in London and Birmingham, soon followed by Bristol, Leeds and Manchester.
• 1999 - Hill McGlynn becomes part of Vedior, the world's third largest staffing organisation.
• 2001 - Hill McGlynn Australia is formed and the first office opens in Melbourne.
• 2003 - After taking the Melbourne market by storm, the second Australian office opens in Sydney
• 2003 - Growth continues strongly in the UK where new offices are opened in Kent and Newcastle, and the strategic acquisition of Team-Up (now Hill McGlynn Trades) adds construction trades recruitment to the product line for the first time.
• 2005 - Queensland is the next market entered with the opening of an office in central Brisbane.
• 2006 - Hill McGlynn Dubai office opens to focus on Middle Eastern construction activity
• 2007 - Hill McGlynn strengthens national reach by opening 2 new offices in Townsville and Perth.
• 2008 - Hill McGlynn Sydney office expands into a new flagship office at 280 George Street.
• 2008 - Abu Dhabi & Calgary, Canada open
